RavenFB: Wish I could enter for Summoner, but alas, I only have a rep of 2. Guess I started actually using the forums a little too late.
Nevertheless, I'm glad that you were able to turn things around. It often turns out that we don't realize just what we have until we hit rock bottom and lose it all. I doubt I'm the only person on here who shares a similar story with you. The important thing is to never forget what you've been through, because the perspective it can give you in the future is invaluable in keeping yourself together. If the Lord led you through it, he led you TO it for a reason. Don't forget it, but also don't be ashamed of it. Your experience will speak to others. I don't know precisely where you stand, in terms of faith, but I would guess by some of your statements that you are a Christian of one denomination or other. If that's the case, or even if it isn't, I pray that the things you have been through will help to strengthen your family, and your faith in God. Use your pain and your rehabilitation to heal others, as an example that there is always room for forgiveness and reconciliation. Thank you for sharing, both your story, and your games. Have a wonderful, merry Christmas!
I just want to say your post has a certain hallmark card quality to it and I like it! In fact, a lot of the posts on here has a certain charm to it that would be great card material, I sort of think of the posts as digital Christmas cards to AcidFlux in a way and that's always nice to see. I definitely agree it's hard to know what you take for granted until it's gone and that's all part of understanding the motions in life. Thank you for your post and +1 for your kindness and welcome to the forums! :)
