Not entering for the giveaway, but one of my favourite (real-life) animals is the chimpanzee. They're like the Mr. Bean of the animal kingdom. Edit: Also Donkey Kong.

NameGoo: My cat Ben is my favorite animal because, well, he's mine, but also because of his incredible will to live. Four years ago his previous owners beat him within an inch of his life and then left him to die in a garbage bin. A friend of mine found him. We don't know how long he'd been in there. She said he was crying loudly despite the state he was in. He was a skinny little thing with a bloodied up face and back, a broken tooth, and a broken hind leg. It took him a month to gain back a decent weight, and a solid 3 months to walk straight again. Sudden movements and loud noises still make him jump 5 feet in the air, but other than that, he's now a happy and spoiled kitty!
Everytime I hear a story like this, I just wish to people capable of doing something like this to have a close encounter with a serial killer (I mean it). I don't understand how someone is able to do something like this.

Fortunately Ben found generous people like your friend, who came to his aid, and you, NameGoo, that have given him a home. :)

I picked up from the streets my female cat, Yashira (she was in good condition). At the time she was about 9 months old. Almost 9 years ago since then, and every day I give thanks for have her by my side. :)
The topic was not as popular as I hoped, so I decided against giving away the game randomly ;p

I chose the winner and it's NameGoo, for his kind heart and touching animal rescue story.

Sorry for changing the rules, but you know, be good and someday something nice will happen to you :D I hope the game is a nice thing ;)

BTW: I also have a story, although not that dramatic. My family rescued a cockatiel. She flew and rested on our window, probably after being chased around by other birds (had her tail feathers broken). Never found her owner, so she has stayed with us since then :)

Well done! His is a wonderful story. I am so glad the cat is doing well.

By the way, I loved this giveaway: great rules, great pictures, and no personal attacks and no big words needed to make a statement. Very classy!
Thanks for the game azah_lemur! I'll keep it for myself, for once. ;)

Very kind of both of you. Incidentally, the most loyal dog I've had as a kid was the one we picked up off the street. Strays always seem to make the best pets.

I don't wish anything that harsh on them, but I'll admit if I ever met them I'd have a hard time restraining myself from punching them in the face.
