Shinji Mikami, creator of the Resident Evil franchise, announces his new Surivial Horror game entitled: The Evil Within.

It was a live action trailer, with very vague details and such. and they just announced it so we will just have to wait and see.

Personally I hope they don't go the Psychological Horror route ala Silent Hill and Amnesia, I like Resident Evil's viceral survival horror to be the influance thank you.

I loved the concept art from when it was still only known as "Zwei". The live-action trailer was alright, but felt too much like a Saw film with horror-y stuff (4-armed blood lady, tentacle box head). I do have high hopes for it though, I trust Shinji Mikami to do survival-horror right if given the chance again.

I know one thing when it comes to horror games, best not even read/watch any previews to avoid spoilers.

All I need to know is the name and wait for release.

I confused it with the devil inside for a sec there. Clunky as it was, I liked that game.

Let's see what they come up with, but I'm not expecting much. I'm fed up with coop shooters.

Nowhere that I know of, it's just a de facto standard on nowadays that "survival horror" is a coop shooter. What I'm saying is that while I hope for an actual survival game, I don't expect my hopes to become true and I won't buy another coop shooter.

You realize the reason Shinji Mikami started this project was to get away from what RE has become, right?
Not to mention the story blurb I saw makes it sound like you're the only character aside from the monsters.
