Got it last night ( a key fro GMG it was 20% cheaper ! ) and I played it until 3 am , I find it an extremely charming and engaging game . I think it will appeal to those that wouldn't normally play this type of game.
I went to bed stuck on a puzzle and it was the first thing on my mind when I woke up !

highly recommended :-)

cw8: Was hoping for a GoG release.

bansama: Published by SEGA, so GOG release chances are next to zero.

I got it gifted to me, and what I've played of it so far; it's fairly average. Nothing truly special yet.
SEGA only cares about Steam not GoG?

You find SEGA games on many DD's, Gamers Gate, Steam, Beam Dog etc, and they have been there for a long time... but for some reason they are not on gOg at all.
Aw. I was hoping for a GOG release as well :/

All of them Steamworks...

nope, for example I have the SEGA collection from GG, as far as I can see it is actually DRM free.

Edit - New games have some DRM, I think yes. But not older.

They aren't on GOG mainly because (1) they like to use Steamworks and (2) they don't sell worldwide.

amok: I had a quick go now, and it seems like a fine puzzle platformer. The designs are quite nice, though not as nice as Trine. I can see how there may be a lot of backtracking, and I have left to see how the different characters will approach different puzzles later to warrant more playthroughs. I am playing the Timetravler, Monk and the Twins, I really like the character design on the Twins. The narrator is very nice, I would say almost as good as in Bastion, and the humour is about right for me.

My problem is that it still seems very unoptimised. I had to take the resolution down 1366x768, and turn off all effects - and it still moves a bit iffy.
exactly the party i am using, so far the game is okey, its not so well optimized but its playable

I manage to make it run properly, all bells and whistles in 1920x1080. it was silly Optimus, so if anyone have Optimus, The Cave do not auto-detect the Nvidia GPU and have to be forced to run on it.

There was a completely ridiculous argument about this on Adventure Gamers. Does it really matter if it's good?

can't we just call it a game?

it is a good game!
nope of course we cant just call it a game we have to spend all our time about symantics and boring stuff like that?

still wondering how long until I give in and end up buying it on steam
so, no info from GOG about releasing it here? I'm willing to wait (a very long time) to get it here... so if you'll say "we'll have it eventually" I'll buy it here once it's released! :o)

as said many times in this thread - it is published by SEGA, so don't hold your breath...
