Hi guys,
I've decided to start a new long term giveaway thread, that I will ultimately sponsor, though others can also put into.
The task: you have to be active on the forums in supporting users with problems. I was inspired by this thread: http://www.gog.com/en/forum/the_guild_gold_edition/cant_advance_levels_help where I gave up, and many others would too, but JMich stepped up and really put a lot of work in to get the guy sorted out. He's the first winner, and need simply post a message of his desired game to claim his $9.99 GOG prize.
I believe that we need to start applauding and rewarding these acts, though they are done without desire for reward. So if people have other examples then please do post them, and they'll get a free GOG. The giveaway does not act retrospectively though, has to be dated after this thread. I would also consider sustained support effort, such as that of Stuff on the DivineDivinity thread.
I'm afraid that in order to prevent situations being engineered, you can't refer yourself, and both the nominee, and the nominator have to be >=30 rep.
I know this is not why people help out on these threads, but I think we need more focus on them.
