I'm in.

I'm using my old CRT right now. Playing The Longest Journey on 640x480 :S

Here is some candy:

...I actually have an old CRT that has a whopping native resolution of 1600x1200! Quality of black it has is insurmountable, to the point I find it hard to get some modern games bright enough.

If I take a photo, would that qualify? ; D

Gloating aside, I might seriously enter, if I get a good screenshot. A good idea for a giveaway!
Well, here is a pic of my mad Griffon in Eador Genesis. I dont think the game runs in any other resolution than than 1024x768. Still pretty on a 27"!

Edit: Its a pretty new game, has been out for 3 years or so, and half a year in English.

Maighstir: I think I promised to offer a low-res one some day...
Down-rezzing is like the Kobayashi Maru: I don't believe in the scenario. But +1 for your generosity.
I had hoped to see at least one of you posting a shot of something other than games (Windows 7/8 desktop in 640x480? Can that even be done? Not to mention in a usable state), but that's alright.

Well... Here is Etherlords... (pretty fun game, btw ;p)

and here is the Windows 7 as bonus, perhaps I could drop the resolution further if I uninstall some drivers..

(I hope there's still some Freespace in that code ;p)
Thanks Maighstir!

Certainly. CRT's are of an age gone by (sadly), which is why I mentioned them.

The screen for my first Windows machine, a 17" iiyama CRT, was sometimes run at 2048x1536 just for the hell of it. That was only possible before I upgraded to Windows 2000 (from 98) though, I guess 2000 adhered to the screen's EDID while 98 ignored it.

On the other hand, I'm glad that the stupid things are becoming extinct. For some reason, I'm extremely sensitive to the high-pitched noise that CRT monitors emit, so I always had to crank the volume up to eleven whenever I wanted to play games or watch TV.

Anyhow, not in. Have some rep regardless.
I am in, thank you. +1

My monitor resolution is 1280x1024, and I would lie to myself if I'd say I would like to turn it lower. I just got used to seeing more info on my screen without useless (lots of) scrolling.
I do however play older games in their "original" resolution, and by that I mean the resolution developers had in mind when they worked on the game. It usually fits best with gameplay immersion, feeling, etc.

Here are a few examples.

I still watch tv and have my consoles hooked up to an old SD tv.

My desktop computer still runs Windows 98 (though I haven't really used it since about 2007, since it BSODs after it's on for 15 or 20 minutes).

And I still try to make 640x480 resolution games in Klik and Play. Whoo go go 16 bit architecture that doesn't run on 64 bit Vista on up!

(I could look through my gogs and post a screenshot of something else if this isn't good enough)

I'm in, thanks. Here's a shot of Two Worlds 2 in 800x600 (I checked to see what I set it at; had to lower it to get the game running decently on my laptop):http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=159135791

There is that, CRT's are superior in some ways though (colour vibrance and darker blacks, among others).
Primordia a modern game with resolutions of the old ones.

Please count me in and thanks for the giveaway Maighstir.
