After the dust of the Summer Sale had settled I found myself --- by mistake --- in possession of a gift code for a game that I already had.

Remembering a famous, if often misquoted, paragraph from James Joyce's "Ulysses" (9.228-9):

-- Bosh! Stephen said rudely. A gamer makes no mistakes. His errors are volitional and are the portals of giveaways.

I decided this was indeed an occasion for a giveaway.

Looking for something to celebrate, I --- not surprisingly --- opted to make a MaGog-themed giveaway. And since we are fast approaching the milestone of 5,000 searches run on MaGog (in slightly over a month), I thought this might be as good a reason for jubilation as any.

So to the nitty-gritty:
- The game is Sir, You Are Being Hunted
- To be redeemed by the winner (not for trading).
- No rep or date limit.
- May enter for someone else.
- Giveaway ends some indeterminate time after we reach 5,000 searches (as I write this it stands at 4,868 -- please do not run spurious searches just to speed up the inevitable end, but by all means do play around with MaGog (it doesn't bite)).

nicely done, not in. i have it already, but people should definately enter for it!
I'm in, thanks!
Not in, but I wanted to say that MaGOG is very cool! It's really nice to be able to sort GOG games by Genre and by Price. Here is a link: http://www.an-ovel.com/pages/magog.php
Congrats mrkgnao, even if I'm not suprised, knowing that great engine!

Anyway, I'm not in, but thanks for the GA.
Yes I said yes I will yes. Be in, that is. And thankya!
I'm in, thanks for the giveaway mrkgnao!

I haven't used MaGog myself but will definitely do when I need to search for some games!
I'm in, please.

And I've been reading your FWEET pages. A lotta work there!

I remember the moment I had a my first Joyce breakthrough moment. I was reading Ulysses and suddenly realized that this was the "lost glasses" moment from Portrait of the Artist. Blew my mind. I'm still no great shakes at reading Joyce. I just have an appreciation I don't have the time to indulge.

Thanks for your work putting that together!

I am so impressed by the range of interests of my fellow GoGers. I'm a keen admirer of Joyce's, having first read Ulysses in college (English minor) but my favorite is probably The Dubliners. I will also be reading your website on Finnegan's Wake:)

I shall be in for misteryo as a fellow "Joycean". The game definitely intrigues me but I've got a backlog already!+1 and thanks for MaGoG too.

misteryo:
You know, every time I looked at this game, I saw the FPP and thought it was FPS! :o Looks like just my kind of game, but seeing as how I'd like to work on my backlog, I've added it to my wishlist for later, and would like to be in for misteryo! :D

Took me a few moments to remember what you were referring to (I'm mostly about FW, much less so about U). I believe you are talking about either chapter 7:
--I want you to write something for me, he said. Something with a bite in it. You can do it. I see it in your face. In the lexicon of youth...
See it in your face. See it in your eye. Lazy idle little schemer.

or chapter 15:
FATHER DOLAN: Any boy want flogging? Broke his glasses? Lazy idle little schemer. See it in your eye.

I'm in. I nearly bought some games I already owned as well. This was due to the you own this disappearing sporadically during the sales. Thanks for the chance. :)
I'm in, thank you very much for this nice giveaway, Mrkgnao!

I too am impressed by the abilities and ingenuity of my fellow GOGers. It is indeed a unique community.
As for having a backlog, it goes without saying:

Gogito ergo sum == I am on GOG, therefore I buy some more games.

P.S. Hope you enjoy Finnegans Wake ;^)
