Tormentfan: And if you are using that argement then I'll use the same.. your quickness to vilify extreme soltution in the absolute absence of any other solution, rather than back up your 'reasonablity' with less extreme point of view with an eye to provide an alternative, which would show me to be the true zealot you obviously think I am, shows your reliance and compliance in such an unjust way of the world and scream of fear when faced with a risk of losing it.

And as far as ANYONE'S opinion of me, on this board or anywhere else is concerned, I would wear the title 'zealot' with pride, rather than bear the shame of 'compliant'.

You don't know how far I personally would or wouldn't go with extreme ideas, this started out as a discussion based on supposition and you, along with the other, rather than put your points of view across in general, based all of your comments in the mire of personal vilification, where as I added to the discussion at hand, regardless of position, you have added nothing.

So my choice is to be me, or to be more like you two in order to be more approved of, by people like you.....I got the better part of the deal. Your type of hypocracy and 'reasonable' complicity would turn me into something I have no wish to become.

Now it's my turn to say I'm bored with arguing with you... you may baselessly declare yourself the victor as is the want of people such as yourself.
Whatever, dude.

Tell you what. You 'win'. Maybe you'll sleep well now.

I'm out.
Wait, I'm confused - are some of you people treating this director's statements literally ? As in - that he truly THINKS killing people is a solution ? Have you missed the part where it says that he's well known for black comedies ?

Badash: I really think that if people truly worked hard to better their situation instead of complaining about the rich then they themselves would be a step or two closer to being rich.
That's, actually, a scam.

Tormentfan: (...) unless they consider their wealth of more worth than their lives if and when the time arrives to choose between giving one of them up.
"Stand and deliver yer money or yer life !" ?
I'm not for murdering or otherwise molesting the 1%. But I'm all for exterminating their influence on government. Get money out of politics. Free the market.
Or governments could do their job and just start fucking taxing people properly.

kalirion: Sure, unless someone uses a Phoenix Down.
That was easy but I lol'ed.

Lesson learned. I'll be more careful with my phrasing.

etna87: How about killing the 99%? There are two major advantages to this: First, we save all the bureaucratic effort required to redistribute that wealth in a fair manner. Second, we solve the overpopulation problem, or at least postpone it for quite some time (maybe this "culling" could be repeated in fixed intervals). Tension among the remaining 1% would be low, and redistribution of jobs etc. would happen automatically, out of necessity.

It's a win-win situation!

... for the people who are still alive.
There is a place where only the 1% lives. It's called Monaco

OMG, I have no idea how I could've missed that ! Thank you for pointing this out to me - you won't believe how confused I was because of all the stuff I read there that I believed unquestionably...
Frugal living families with both partners working, are starving. Hard work and responsibility does NOT guarantee that your cost of living will be meet. Nor does being poor mean that someone is lazy, unmotivated or stupid.

I think that Luxembourg is even better example ;).

So the paradigm of this new '99%' society would be to strive for underachievement? A sort of race to the bottom, just in case my head sticks out above the rest. Sounds constructive and entirely compatible with human nature. No, wait...

How about a race to the middle ? Medio-cracy ;) !
so you indiscriminately kill the richest 1% so that a different set of people can become the richest 1%? lol just lol
I'm off to go monkey around on camera. Let's keep this civil while I'm away so that we aren't horrifying anyone who comes by for a visit, eh?

Your way off the mark. Think equality as a base point. Not as an end point. Where everyone has equal say in their governing. Where lobbying politicians is nothing more than a meet and great with a local representative. Where the size of your portfolio does not buy you special access. Where full-time work meets the minimum costs of living. Where the market is not restricted to those with the financial muscle to bully out competitors. More. The 99% is a lot of different things to alot of different people. But said simplest, it's about people assembling towards common cause, for the purpose of making their collective voice loud enough to be heard over the corruption.
