Dear GOG Users!
First of all, on behalf of the whole GOG team I'd like to thank you very much for your support and all positive comments we have received in so many posts. This really makes us believe that we do the right thing and gives us even more power and motivation to continue our way of bringing classic games with 100% DRM-free policy.
Second thing is, that if you are happy about what we offer here, please help to spread the word about GOG in other places. We do our best to be visible in as many places as we can, but our efforts have their limits, as there are not as many people working on GOG communication across the web as we'd like (actually two guys, Vandal and me).
Please do not treat it as a request, or something that we expect you to do. No... We just say, help us if you really feel (from deep inside) comfortable with it, and if you think that GOG is worth your help.
Once again, thank you everyone!
And have fun!
GOG.com team via Cook :)
EDIT: You can check our "Spread the word" section to get some banners and maybe even buy yourself a GOG t-shirt!

deathkitten: support GOG unless you want the great satan of "windows live" to take over everything
lets hope maybe GOG starts doing new games at some point too to challenge steam :)

Then a rename will take place, because remember, age is a relative thing. ;)
I've added GoG.com button on my blog. Small thing, but done from the bottom of my heart. Thanks for continuing your battle on drm-free game front!

Firstly, well done GOG. Many of these games take me back to younger days! I just have one comment; as everyone knows, Netbooks have become very popular, especially for people who travel a lot on business or whatever. Therefore these are a valuable source of entertainment whilst one is abroad. GOG games are tailor made for Netbooks as a cd drive is not needed. Therefore I would love to see a section on your website dedicated to games that can run on a netbook or at least a note next to the game(s) stating same. The only reason I don purchase more games from GOG is over this issue. Thanks for listening.

Welcome to GOG!
We as community have compiled an unofficial list of GOGs that run well on netbooks, you can see the thread here.
At least this is a good place to say it:
Dear GOG Overlords.
Since the creation of this site and of this community, almost two years ago we had grown considerably.
I believe that the current community set up is not sufficient enough to meet our growing needs. I speak about the General Discussion section. It had become crowded, confusing and frankly speaking a bit scary for newcomers.
It had been suggested before, so I am not taking credit but I would like to propose a split of General Discussion section into two seperate ones.
One dedicated solely to the gaming and the second one to everything else.
We are too big nowodays to have one section for everything related to non-gog games discussions and the split, I personally believe, would greatly contribute to this strong, amazing community.
Please consider my suggestion.
Your faithful subject,
Lukasz
How to make GOG.com grow? Here's an idea...
Port DosBox to the iPad, figure out a touch system that combines the best of mouse+keyboard control in a touch-based system, then make all your good ol' games available as iTunes Apps as well as on GOG.com.
I own both MOO and MOO2, and still have MOO2 on my PC system... but it was worth buying the 1+2 combo last week just to keep from digging out the CD! The only thing I can think of to make it better would be to have MOO1+2 on an iPad so I can take it wherever I go.
And that's the name of that tune...
I'd like there to be a better search feature on the "Games you'd love to see on GOG." Like you should be able to search for the highest rates ones, weed out duplicates, and stop letting people post NEW games. Like Duke Nukem Forever, come on people.
I also meant to add that there should be a way to have personal profiles for members and a message service so we could talk to one another.
Heck maybe even a IRC.

There's an unofficial:

Have gotta say, thank you guys for bringin back these games. The effort means a lot. Worth much more to me than what you ask. Consider the word spread...
I'm definitvely spreading the word!
By now I've got two new users in, one of them has already bought some games some days ago.
This site is amazing and you're doing really a great job! I'll do my best to bring new users in!
GoG t-shirt ? lol :P
If I may, I'd like to point out TVTropes.org as a source of free advertising. People casually browsing through it may find articles on old games, think to themselves, "Hey, that's pretty neat," and if there happens to be a link to GOG somewhere on the same page, Bam! You've got a sale.
I've taken the liberty of making a list of all the TVTropes pages for GOG games. This could be useful.

That's an impressive list, thanks! Will look into that and see what can be done there.
Good Old Games has my support.
I'm a digital archivist, and I've been fretting over ways to preserve classic computer games in a playable state for several years. I recently found out about your service, and signed up right away.
My hat is off to your team. You've developed a scalable, sustainable, and pragmatic system for the preservation and the continued public use of these gems.
I look forward to being a part of your community for many years.
P.S.
If you're ever in need of digital archivists, I'm sure I won't be the first one of my colleagues joining your service.
Gameinformer got me in here as well, just wish my post office sent my subscription in on time, as is I lost an entire month of GOG.com goodness. Sometimes I don't even get my GI for the month, but I'm glad I got the issue that highlighted GOG.com, these are great games, and great extras with the games. I've been spreading the word on FB and via texts to my good friends and family about this awesome service.
Great work GOG.com team, and I can't wait to see what goodies you guys come up with in the future!
