Dear GOG Users!
First of all, on behalf of the whole GOG team I'd like to thank you very much for your support and all positive comments we have received in so many posts. This really makes us believe that we do the right thing and gives us even more power and motivation to continue our way of bringing classic games with 100% DRM-free policy.
Second thing is, that if you are happy about what we offer here, please help to spread the word about GOG in other places. We do our best to be visible in as many places as we can, but our efforts have their limits, as there are not as many people working on GOG communication across the web as we'd like (actually two guys, Vandal and me).
Please do not treat it as a request, or something that we expect you to do. No... We just say, help us if you really feel (from deep inside) comfortable with it, and if you think that GOG is worth your help.
Once again, thank you everyone!
And have fun!

EDIT: You can check our "Spread the word" section to get some banners and maybe even buy yourself a GOG t-shirt!

I really think spread the word should be a tab clickable from the main page... If it already is, I haven't seen it so maybe it needs more eye candy or be placed in a place more easily seen? :)
Just have to say how much i love GoG and the community!!

The promotions you've been running lately have been a great way to spread the word about GOG (and take care of some holiday gifting at the same time).
I'm loving these ports to Win7x64 they are totally worth the few bucks to save me the time of making my old disc copies work under the new OS. Thanks for the great work :)

I don`t post much here, but I frequent other forums and I do EVERYTHING to advertise GOG whenever I get the chance. especially when in debates over Origin or Steam.

We may not say much, but we support you and love what you are doing. It`s so great to see GOG do what`s RIGHT and not following the herd like sheep. Do not fall to these over-the-top things like Steam and Origin which punish the purchasing customer for Offline Single Player games that should be free to use once bought forever offline with no internet attached. You are the one hope for DRM free gaming pleasure in the once Golden age of PC gaming.

Never change, but grow, show that things CAN be different to the standard.
Thanks for all the hard work guys, it really is much appreciated. Games like Ultima were way too expensive for me when they first came out but now I have a chance to play and own them all these years later.

Something that would really get interest up and help GOG grow would be System Shock 1+2 becoming available again. With the decent relationship between GOG and EA right now, what are the hurdles/issues regarding getting hold of these games to sell? Is there anything the community can do to help?
I would REALLY love to see Command & Conquer Red Alert 2 + the expansion (Yuri's revenge) to be added on GOG, this game is awesome and by far the best strategy game I've ever played. Many years ago I bought this game on disc and now I lost it but I sure would want to buy it again if it was on sale on GOG. So I'm asking you guys, add this game to your catalogue, pretty pleeeaassee? *puppy eyes*
Here's a suggestion:

Sell blank DVDs, covers, and/or albums with GOG motives as merchandise.

I noticed you're already selling T-Shirts. Shirts are nice, but have little relation to gaming and our community per se.

However, hundreds of people are using dozens of DVDs each to store and backup their collection. For many of its customers, GOG creates an increased need for disc storage, but it does nothing to benefit from that. Selling such merchandise would fulfill that need. This could also be a nice letout to support GOG for customers who already have most of the games they want.

If quality and price are decent, then I'm certain they'd sell at least as good as the t-shirts ...
First, thank you. This site looks to be work of love and I'm very happy to support you guys. Your holiday sale is making it hard not to buy everything:)

I have a suggestion, use a YouTube link (or embedded video) with each game to show actual game play.
Thank you guys for everything. In an age when gaming is dominated by big-budget interactive movies, it's a refreshing change of pace to see games with true depth that are lovingly supported and sold and reasonable prices.

I'm getting all kinds of nostalgic right now.
I love GOG; Many games I haven't had the chance to play, or have never even heard of, pulled me here and i haven't regretted it. Keep up the good work, and I'll do my best to keep it going.
Thank you GOG.com. I can finally play many of my favorite games off my laptop without having to be the freak carrying around CD-ROMs. Also, there's many broken CD's I've cried over that I could never replace. Let's just say I've now replaced those games thanks to you. Keep up the amazing work!
Thank you for free game :) (empire)
