Tarm: Master of Magic.
It still haven't sunk in that I finally can play it again after all these years.

ClickClickBoom: I've seriously considered this one. I've read it is like Civ w/ Magic.

Civ in a fantasy setting with magic is a reasonable description. It's also insanely addicting and pretty much guarantees contracting onemoreturnitis. I just bought the game myself a couple weeks ago (having never played it before), and I think my first experience playing it was rather telling. I'd been reading through the manual, but it was getting late (for me) and I thought I'd just get a small taste and play a couple of turns before going to bed. Four hours later at 2 in the morning I finally tore myself away because I actually had to be up at a reasonable time.
Great, now I have to buy master of magic... THANKS!

Did that already, didn't like it

Wishbone: I'll recommend Sacrifice and Giants: Citizen Kabuto any day of the week. Also Psychonauts.

I spent hour after hour laughing my bum off playing Giants. I loved Sacrifice and was always disappointed I never could get anyone to play it multiplayer with me.

Outcast IS a fantastic game. And a unique one as well. And Master of Magic is a fine pick as well, it also has great battle system (heroes of might and magic - ish
Navagon's list of GOG must-haves:
Fallout 1&2 (well, duh!)
The Longest Journey (adventure perfection)
Sanitarium (adventure close-to-perfection but more to my darker tastes than TLJ)
Hostile Waters (a brilliant mix of genres)
Painkiller (like a first person SHUMP with awesome weapons and action)
Tropico Reloaded (Tropico 3 is better, but the first + expansion are still awesome)
Unreal Tournament 2004 (more MP maps than 12 other FPS combined and online community still buzzing)
Blood (excellent level design and a fine selection of weapons)
Commandos 2+3 (Commandos 2 is how real time tactical games should be done)
Naturally there are plenty more. But either I haven't played them or forgot to list them.

I like to advance the list:
Psychonauts
Beyond Good and Evil
Another World
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time
Master of Orion 1+2
Outcast
Postal 2
Buried in Time
Myst Series
Rather make a list of games we don't like. Shorter list in the end.

Good list.

Titanium: True. But it usually doesn't go down too well with people who actually like the games you list.

Uh oh! That sounds like me. Master of Magic is right now my #1 choice I think.

LOL, that might be a good idea :).
Thank you everybody for your sugguestions. This has been real helpful. I think I will choose The Guild (since it's $9.99) and buy Master of Magic (since it's only $5.99). LOL. You have given me a GREAT list of games to keep on my wish list.

Thank you! I will. Sounds just like just what I need... another addicting game :). Although, there are too many great games on here. I really don't know why I missed most of these over the years, but I am glad GOG has given us the chance to make up for lost time.
