I would like to thank everyone over at GOG who are doing an amazing job making good old games run perfectly smooth on modern pc's.
Also thank you for the fair prices and all the bonus content.

Well, i have my doubts about being god the responsible for GOG's existence, i will rather be thankful to common sense for bringing back old games to live!

I suppose according to religion and such, it would be God who gives people common sense.
(Although if that's the case He should be a little more generous with it.)

Come on.. really? A guy is showing his support and you're gonna play the atheist card? You're not the kind of guy that gets riled up when someone says "God bless you" when you sneeze right?

Actually when people say that to me I reply, "No thanks."

We need an official prayer here, something like this:

Our GOG which art on the internets,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy insomnia sale come.
Thy will be done in every gamer's home,
as it is in the GOG Headquarters.
Give us this day our weekly classic gem promo.
And forgive us our Steam purchases,
as we forgive those
who trade our gift codes.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from DRM:
For thine is the game market,
and the wishlist, and the forum,
forever and ever.
Amen.

awalterj: And forgive us our Steam purchases,
Does that mean people who've never bought from Steam are allowed to throw stones at people who have?
Or does it include buying Steam games from anywhere but Steam?
I'd like to say "Thanks Carl Sagan for GOG!"

Only if you're a man, so I don't want to see any of you ladies putting on fake beards!

Nah, it's just that there has to be some sort of a bogeyman in every religion, it's a must.

I want to watch that again now.

Does Buddhism have such a thing?
Also, what do you mean, no? Where's the fun when we can't even throw stones.

I think in Buddhism your inner feelings are the bogeyman (overly simplified).

If I recall correctly, the whole stoning deal requires that there are so and so many witnesses to your crime, in the case of secretly buying Steam games that could be difficult.

I didn't take it that way. Maybe he just doubts that the common Christian god is responsible.

More likely, it's some modest Slavic god, whose cleverness makes him impatient with the mundane. He can perform feats of technical wizardry, but is incapable of stooping to lesser tasks while sober. He is an industrious and easygoing deity. His followers are best described as drinking buddies. Proofreading is blasphemous.
So uh, these forums are about games and you debate about some old beardy man in the clouds.
Seems legit. I'll go update my thread about tootache then.
