New Texas Chainsaw Massacre? Ok. Sequel to original? Better. With any luck it'll get the bitter taste of the remake out of my mouth. God that sucked. And hopefully it fulfils the promise of its 3D and has chainsaws and viscera being flung at the viewers.

Really? No love for chainsaw murder?

I liked the bit in the original with ol' granpaw the world's greatest murderer. Not a lot of chainsawing in it though. This has more chainsaw action going on and it's just the bloody trailer. So yeah, there's some promise there.

With the Texas chainsaw massacre remake, The Friday 13th remake and Nightmare on elm street remake, My bloody valentine remake and so on, i lost my faith in today's slashers.
The only decent one was Rob Zombie's Halloween.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one. The original Halloween is one of my favourite movies, but I loved the remake a lot, but I always seemed to be the only one (the only Halloween movie I hated was H20. Don't disregard 4-5-6!). I did enjoy the Friday the 13th remake though, but it just didn't feel like a remake. Why disregard all the other ones?

Watching the trailer, there are a few moments that seem worryingly like the remake (the van attack, mainly), but I hope it's handled better this time around.

Edit: I do love the little black comedy touches in he original. "Look what your brother did to the door!"
