Detlik: Why the npc wont stay in wooden house?
Hmm, I don't know. It looks fine to me.
Ok, I've been having a TON of fun with this game. It's what I had wished Minecraft had been. The building in Minecraft was fun, but it lacked any sort of adventure.

Don't use dirt for the walls or ceiling, and you need to replace the background with a crafted material (wood/stone) that you make with the crafting table in order to keep monsters from spawning in the house.

Other than that, what specifically are you having issues with?

What do you mean by won't stay in the house? They don't stay put, they wander around a bit.

But, they will stay in the close proximity to their home/room.

The guide will eventually move into the first house/room you build (You'll need 6 rooms for all the current NPC's).

So wooden house is Guide house now? (see if I made the house right)

Your house/room looks good for the first NPC. You'll want to make some more rooms with a light source, door, table, chair for the other NPC's. Talk to the guide and he'll tell you what has to happen for the other NPC's to move in.

Yup, the Guide has moved into that house/room. Now he'll just wander around close to it.

Just be careful when a blood moon rises. I don't want to spoil anything but be ready to defend yourself when the night sky turns red. ;)
The guide taking my first house confused me as well. There's no pop-up or information. He just takes it as if it's always belonged to him.
The more I play the more I find and the more awesome it becomes. Digging deep underground is fun times. I made a large map, just how far does it go? I keep digging down but it just doesn't look like it wants to end.

Oh also, is it just me or are others having troubles distinguishing some materials from each other, especially at first?

Silver & Stone were hard at first, then I got used to it and it's readily apparent. The rest were fairly easy to see. :)
Really cool little game. Was a bit burned out on the Witcher 2 so I grabbed this and have been playing for a bit today. I like how it has a more exploration and action focus instead of Minecraft's building focus. My only complaint is having no one to play with.

Ah, it was the whole background stuff. I don't recall the guide ever talking about that.
I believe this game is made by the same people who did Super Mario Bros. X, which is totally epic and awesome, and freeware. So I might just buy this eventually just as a thanks to the devs.
Err what am I meant to do in this game?
