Hello there,

I wonder if you have a special condition of use for places like hospitals, schools, library...

A place where of course you can't download the games, they are already installed on a few computers.

You must have something similar asked in the past, but i can't find the info on your Terms of Use.
Not sure what you mean, GOG allows you to use the games for personal use. Buying a game here does not mean you can install them onto 40 computers in a hospital for use by the public. You can however install them on your laptop if you are going into hospital for a while and want to game.

Basically games sold here are for personal use only. You are not supposed share them.
I believe that it would also be permissable to install the game onto a computer in a hospital for use by the public during their stay, provided you made sure they couldn't copy the game and take it home with them. Obviously you'd have to buy the game once for each computer you had it installed on, so if you wanted to install it on 40 computers you'd have to set up 40 accounts and buy it 40 times (although a better option might be to contact Support, explain what you want and ask if they can help you pay 40* the normal price for 40 licenses to save time).
To put it in another way:

Can a library / hostipal buy you some games, and let the visitors/patients play it ?
http://www.gog.com/support/policies/terms_of_use

if that helps, but honestly my understanding are the following :

personnal use & non-commercial use (1st paragraph) , so .....

as said above , best is to contact support :)

If you are not charging would it be commercial use or just letting someone use it while staying - you can let your friends play on your copy so would it be much different?
This is a question best directed at the staff, not something you ask in a forum. What are you even trying to do? Do you want to make games available to patients for the duration of their stay? Are you going to stay at a hospital and take a game with you to play while you're there?

I don't think so. If I remember correctly, when you buy a GOG game, you are purchasing a license to play that game for 1 person(the person who purchased the game).

I doubt it, they could try but that wouldn't hold up legally in a lot of countries as far as I know - the entire concept of licensing is already a grey area never really fully legally tested, but even considering this there is still a limit on what you can specify in such a licence.

Edit: It would depend on the type of software as well though, for games I doubt it but there is some software that could be limited depending on the situation of its usage.

i just put the link to the page, and gave my opinion, i can't do much more. However i agree , to one point it exists too many countries where there's a grey area for such things.

I don't know but seem to remember that libraries have to pay a premium for digital material to compensate for the high number of people who can benefit from them. Whether this is just a Finnish thing or just plain bullshit is unknown to me.
Yeah i heard that too for hospitals (ex dvd). Maybe GOG have some specials offers for thoses cases that we are not aware of.

Hospitals, schools....right with premium license.

Take in account that GOG doesn't own the games.
With every game comes a separate EULA from the publisher/dev.
For example i check it with Giana Sisters Rise of the Overlord.
They say its ok for them if the game is installed in a cyber cafe/1 PC. So no problems with them.
But that must be checked with every game.
Hmm so "personal, non_commercial use" means it is not allowed to use games bought on gog.com for commercial or public videogame sites, reviews, letsplay videos?
