Crowned: Absinthe, on the other hand. Tastes horrible but the kick in that stuff.
How dare you!? :D

Me likes the taste of Absinthe very much... and its hard punch, especially when you drink it as a shot. :)

AFnord: And the taste difference between average & good vodka is not large enough for the average Joe to really be able to tell the difference (one might taste slightly better than the other, but it is not a huge difference). The same is not true for tequila.
I think all drinks require some degree of appreciation before you're able to tell the difference. For instance, I'm not interested in wines at all and can't tell the difference between a cheap and an expensive wine. Tried, didn't work. The same goes for ciders and rums. My girlfriend refuses to drink any beer and whiskey I offer her on the basis that "beer and whiskey taste bad", no matter how much I try to convince her that Bud Light and Old Engine Oil have about as much to do with each other as Jack Daniels and Glenfiddich which in turn are about as related as avgas and bunker fuel.

Then it's my turn to ignore an overenthusiastic wine ponce friend of hers who is oh so proud of a dry Australian and insists I have a swig.

EDIT: I also like a good absinthe, which is unfortunate as most of the stuff I can lay my hands on is shit.

Telika: If this was a forum about dyslexia, I'd feel uneasy.

Damuna: I'm not sure I catch your meaning, but I must confess I've been drinking.
(I had just noticed a couple of days ago that my username looked a lot like a typo-ed beverage.)

Anyway, the only comments I have to make here is :

1) Glenfiddich ? Yay !

2) I refreshed 2 or 3 times the page, thinking it had loading problems, because of the space on the OP. And not the first time I opened that thread. Duh.

3) Samos owns you all.
