Seriously, though, this is good news. More players, more fun!
Also, on that note, I have enjoyed pretty much anything Three Rings (dev of Sprial Knights and Puzzle Pirates) put out. They are pretty responsive to players and are great at creating games.

I stopped playing TF2 quite a few months ago. I still fondly remember the early years, when the game was fun and not just a marketing tool for Valve.

Well they've been running on the "practically plays like F2P" for a while with all the extra hats and such they'd like you to buy.
Not sure if Free2Play is a good thing for TF2. More players, easier to convince friends to join in. More annoying people. VAC being practically useless with it now. Sure there's still VAC to prevent cheating but it just doesn't have the same effect when people who get banned can just create a new account for free and start over.
As for spiral knights. I tried it cause I thought it looked interesting but am having trouble getting into it. What I played seemed like a very basic hack'n'slash with mediocre gameplay. Someone please tell me what makes it so great, cause it looked on screenshots like it would be.

I paid for this shit,lol I feel upset XD. This will mess up the community too. But oh well I will not play it anymore. I'm working on getting somethign better.

Expected this game to go Free 2 Play after they added Mann Co. Store.
Does it matter to me anyway? No. I can still find/craft most useful items, such as.. weapons. In fact, i think TF2 is a more fair f2p experience than Battlefield Heroes..

The trade off to this is that now everybody is going to be playing Medic because he has an instant healing gun and increased speed.
All the other items (except the new Sniper Rifle) suck. They unbalance the game too much.
I'm happy to see this go free-to-play. This isn't the kind of service I'd expect for a paid game. It's been changed radically and for the worst.

I still play and have fun after all these years. You either dislike the changes and get left behind or simply embrace them and continue enjoying yourself.
I'm sure I'll manage to enjoy myself with the new weapons as well.
As for the service as a whole. With all the 'free' support and patching this game has gotten it puts it miles above probably any other shooter. Sure, a lot of it was hats but this game has also had a continuous influx of weapons, balance changes, fixes, new maps etc, none of which you were asked to fork over more money for.
I'm sure I'll manage to enjoy myself with the new weapons as well.
