RafaelLopez: It's a good game. I think I like to point its flaws because I picked it up about ten years after release, which gave me time to read all kind of hype over it. I probably expected something more, is all. If the shooting played great, I think I wouldn't be disappointed at all.
After Doom was released, I wonder why there were still games that made you move and turn by clicking more or less on the right direction...
Well SS's control scheme requires some getting used to, it's not bad at all thou. It lets you do everything using mouse, adds some tension (You actually have to reload manually), and lets you do way more stuff with less keyboard shortcuts needed. After I got used to it, I actually PREFER it to controls of SS2 - it cannot, of course, be used in fast-paced games, but it seems pretty much perfect for system shocks. Oh, and I have played SS1 for the first time about ... 2, 3 years ago?
