INCEPTION
System Shock, you say? ehhmm...no, sorry, never heard of it.
This may very well be the first time anybody has asked about this. That is, unless you count the last time, and the time before that, and the time before that, and the time before that, and the time before that, and the time before that, and the time before that, and the time before that, and the time before that, and the time before that, and the time before that, and the time before that, and the time before that, and the time before that, and the time before that, and the time before that, and the time before that..........

Aside from those easy-to-forget instances, this is probably the first time. A great idea, now GOG will finally know that people want these games and will attempt to get the rights to distribute them here. Without you asking about it, they'd have only had the thousands of identical threads, as well as the thousands of votes on the useless wishlist. Only now do they realize how popular it is! Good job!
tl;dr edition: go pester EA.

You sir, have tickled my funny bone, but I don't know you so now I'm pressing charges! :)

Just kidding. There should really be a sticky that says "vote for system shock" on the main page, and every time you log in it forces you to click and read through all the posts there before allowing you to do anything else.
The first System Shock is freeware. The second one is, as far as I'm aware, not distributed, so you'll have to pay the sometimes expensive prices of ebay or amazon.
And then you have the fun getting System Shock 2 to run on a modern computer.......
I am beginning to think that all new members should be restricted to posting in pre-existing threads until they reach a postcount of fifty. Regardless, welcome to GOG, and yes, I'm sure we'd all like System Shock.

No it's not, no one just cares about it anymore apparently.

It ain't hard if you know what to do. Worst case scenario: you have to watch intro and ending directly from game's directory

No, there are way more actually meaningful questions in games related boards from new members

GameRager: 1. Odd....better inform the SSP creators of that then, as they're app comes with a version of the game within it.
Abandonware ain't freeware, and I am yet to see an official word from EA. If there is one, I apologise

Fenixp is correct. Just because the copyright isn't being actively enforced doesn't mean that it's not valid. Copyrights aren't like trademarks in that regard.

You many not feel that it's morally wrong to download a copy of it, but don't think that it's not legally wrong to do so.
