It's not just the OP. Others in the thread probably don't want replies to something they've long forgotten about too. If the OP let the thread die, then decides they want to discuss the matter some more then I suppose them resurrecting the thread is somewhat more acceptable. But creating a new thread would be a better idea for the above reason. Either way, new threads are the way to go. If nobody wants to discuss it then they die. It's a self solving problem.

Eh, you have probly misunderstood. What I meant was that the creator of the new topic who's unaware of the old discussion is probably interested in the standpoints of others, he would otherwise hardly create a new topic. Others are hardly interested in discussing the whole thing all over again, so giving the new OP link to the old discussion would give him what he originally wanted (yes, search and all that, but... well, search function on GoG acts ... kinda weird) and possibility to continue the thread. If someone don't want to respond, well, he can feel free to do so, and if he's ashamed of his posts... He probably should have thought a bit more before posting them in the first place, now shouldn't he? Besides, it makes whole boards way less messy and easier to navigate. And it's not such a hellish task ti find something if every relevant discussion is redirected to the original one. So yeah... about System Shock 2....
It's the highest on the wishlist at 11,839 at the time of post, even beating Planescape:Torment.
I really want to show my friends this game and they really want to play it, except compatibility issues make it unplayable. I've gotten my copy to work but only on my computer and there's nothing that I can do to make it playable on another's computer...
I wonder how much EA will sell it's "Master Copy" for? If that's even a possibility...

Come on GoG you promised us Good old games and System shock 1+2 is one of the games I didnt play and deeply regret it. It is almost unplayable on modern systems and thats why we need you to make it compatible with our computers. And if you dont want to get us System Shock out of pure compassion look at it this way. Lets say System shock 1 will be for 6 dollars 8459 wish listed it thats 8459x6=50754 dollars ( plus some people that will buy it out of curiosity or by recommendation. If you would sell System shock 2 for 10 dollars thats 120830 dollars (if all people who wishlisted it would buy it) and thats pretty sweet. So please GoG use your magic and give us one of the best games ever made, that sadly is almost nowhere available.

You can run system shocks well on new systems, if you mess with it for a bit (actually, you only need to download SS portable for SS1).
