This one could use an overhaul. SoA is one of those games that I download periodically just to see if I can finally get into it this time. It never happens. The interface is too clunky. The sound - eh. And so on.

I know it's a solid game, but I've been too spoiled by newer interfaces. If I had the resources and skills, it would be the game I would want to make: customizable troops, resource management, strategic battles, oldskool fantasy vibe. Even Larry Niven likes it. That's got to be a plus.

I've found a few threads where people have mentioned similar thoughts, but nobody took the bull by the horns in 2010. Maybe next year...
What? A LOTR game? o.o

edit: NVM, looked it up. I fail at strategy games ^^

Completely agree on this one. It was an incredible game for its time and really the gameplay has never been replicated imo.

Would love a remake.
