Thanks guys for your kind words. I also think that I shouldn't have problems with finding a new job but we will see. The thing is I decided to postpone it a bit. I worked really hard recently so I think I deserve some free time to get a decent rest.

Sadly I can't do that. Lab equipment is very expensive. The cost of a single machine is pretty often > 1 million Euro and let us not discuss the running costs ;)

Hey wouldn't that be an inrony with an I, if I we wouldn't hear about incompetent leaderships all the time. It sounds like there is a lot of potential in you, so hopefully you won't have problems with finding a new job (and a friend of yours).

At least you now have a (likely brief) period of time when you can devote yourself to things you otherwise couldn't afford to. And a happy upcoming birthday. :)
