Hi there! iI have recently searched the web for the good, old strategy games i used to play when i was younger! It took me much effort to find them and i think they are worth to be added to the game list on my beloved website gog.com :)
Those titles are:
KKND (1997) with expansion KKND: Extreme (1997)
KKND2: Krossfire (1998) A superior sequel.
Kohan: Immortal Sovereigns (2001)
prequel Kohan: Ahriman's Gift (2001)
Kohan2 : Kings of War (2004) is the official sequel which takes the franchise down the obligatory 3D route
Total Annihilation: The Core Contingency (1997) This game was the base for creating Supreme Comander!
CHEERS guys, I hope that some1 also know those games and want them to be on the list!

KKND series and Total Annihilation are both owned by Atari and Atari are making a début here tomorrow. So there's a fair chance those will wind up on GOG at some point.
Total Annihilation is already available on GamersGate, so it can't be far off being on here.
Unfortunately, it hasn't aged well in my eyes, even if I still have good memories of it.

Wasn't there a fan updated version TA with a new engine. TA Spring maybe? I wonder if that's any good.
The first two Kohan games are among my top ten favourite games ever. Very unique RTS games where you actually don't have to be a fast clicker to be a good player.
If they get released on GOG I'll buy them immediately and gift them to all my friends and MAKE them play them. :P After all they're amazingly fun in multiplayer.
good strategy games that must be at gog: cossacks and dawn of war!
Carrier Command (mix of strategy)
UMS series
Star Wars Rebellion/Supremacy
Balance of Power series (niche of a niche product lol)
Shitload of Impression games
Every third Microprose game
Every second SSI game
Every SSG game
That should cover it for a while.

Add some mods/mutations/AIs, it can still be amazingly frantic and fun.

TA Spring is awesome, played it with my buds for a good year before it got a little old. No campaigns, just skirmishes against AI or people. I started getting good before I left Spring a few years back, might try it again soon but their new lobby system is hackjobbed pretty bad, you try finding a mod on their 'convenient' download menu and it finds nothing but crap you never hear of. Do like I do and manually download stuff.
I remember buying a magazine with KKND Extreme bundled. The game had a game breaking bug where you couldn't upgrade your buildings. It took me years to find the proper patch and really enjoy the game.
But it was a fun C&C clone.
WoW! I didn't expect that really someone will respond here :D i am pleased with this.
Also, while i went today to bed, i realized that i forgot about 1 game - Dark Colony :) That also made me stay in front of PC for a while
Where can i get that fun update for TA?
Thanks,
Polymyst

Welcome!
Do you mean Spring (formally TA: Spring)? You can find out more about it (and grab it if it strikes your fancy) here.
It's free, Spring is really an engine but I still call it TA Spring. The best mods for Spring are based off TA anyway, though the originally designed mods without any TA content to be considered freeware are getting good enough finally they are playable, a few years ago they were really rough.

Sadly I've given up on getting SSI and/or SSG here. They're the ultimate companies if you're a old strategy/wargamer.
Wargame Contruction Set series
Steel Panthers series
5 Star General series
Close Combat series
