Buenro-games: That's what you get for using a system that you have allowed to scan your computer. Read the fine print. But don't worry about it Steam knows what is best for you. Just make sure to always stay connected to it and it will lead you to a happy place eventually.

Dat name! Like a ninjustu from Naruto :P
hm, strange. Mine do not add non-steam games automatically, and I just downloaded the new Beta just to see if this could be the reason, it is not.

edit - if selecting "Add a Non-Steam game to my library" it scans the disk and gives me a list of installed games. However, I still need to tick the games I want to add and confirm it manually. It is not an automatic process

edit 2 - it is not even scanning the disk for games as such, but going through the list of installed software. I get a lot of things not games. Maybe I should start using Steam to launch MathCad, Wordpad, 7-Zip or SPSS :)

Not only that - the name of one of the lead characters, Sousuke, sounds very much like Sasuke.

It's all coincidence though. I don't believe "Chidori" had even been mentioned in the Naruto manga at the time when FMP was first published.
This all makes sense now... STEAM IS THE BASTARD CHILD OF SKYNET AND SHODAN ! WE'RE ALL DOOMED !!!

Bastard child? Does it mean that Skynet is married?

Exactly. I didn't know if Valve had added some feature to Steam that automated this process, as I can imagine for people that use Steam as a main source that adding non-Steam games one-by-one is a bit of laborious process. It wouldn't be unthinkable that Steam would scan the registry in the same way that XFire or Raptr does.

No, I'd say Steam is the mother of Skynet or Shodan. And Google is the daddy.

Seriously though. You do know that you gave Valve the permission to scan your hard drive with installing Steam, right? Even if they maybe don't do it on all computers, they have the legal(ish) and technical possibility to do so. That's one of the reasons why I don't use Steam or Origin or Uplay.

Actually, a bastard child is simply a child born out of marriage. Regardless of whether the parents are are married to someone else. Of course, since it became so common nowadays, it is now referred to as "baby daddy", so as to sound nicer.

I think Chidori was first mentioned around volume 6 or 7 of Naruto. Not sure though.
I honestly cannot explain it but the add's happened on the same day... The day I first tried "Big Picture" and played with it for a few hours getting it working on my TV... ever since then, strangeness...

also big Picture works well enough, but there is a slight creepy factor happening...
