It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Hi.

I resently installed a few games that I boought from you. After this mozilla searched on ask rather than on google.

If this happens again I will stop buying from gog.
What? GOG games have nothing to do with your browser...
Even if they did affect your browser somehow, even though I'm sure they didn't, I fail to see how that minor annoyance that literally consists of changing a single setting would convince you to not buy on GOG when they host games that you can't get buy new anymore for prices you often can't beat.

I've never had this happen before, are you sure you were actually downloading from gog and not from something like gogle.com or something like that? What else did you download or install that day?
I think it more likely it is a webpage you have been on.

This.

You ever stopped to consider that maybe there is something else messing with your browser outside of what you got from GOG?
The Java JRE does that during its install update (it asks, you have to uncheck the box), considering Sunday's big update to the JRE to fix the major security issue... yeah...

I don't recall if some versions of the GOG installer have an optional install of a toolbar, I haven't installed many of my games though.
I can assure you that GOG didn't do this. I've installed many GOG games and nothing like this has ever happened to me. You probably downloaded some other piece of software and accidentally installed a toolbar.

Yeah, I nearly missed the tickbox on something a while ago - I think the OP did miss it - or browses too many adult or crack sites etc.
I've had 'ask' installed on my browser from a million different places I've gone online, and GoG WAS NOT one of them. In fact, it's one of the reasons I like it here, I shop here, and I don't download from anywhere else. Anywhere else I try to download so much as a simple solitare game and it totally screws up my settings...but not here. I only wish I could get my porno from GoG, then my life would be complete and I could get rid of all that stupid Anti-Malware crap I have to keep running.

Good Old Porn - all the classic titles from the 1970s and 80s, cheap and DRM-free? Hmm...

That ought to be illegal IMHO. If you wanted to use ask or whatever you would have chosen to use it. Assuming that you want to use it is just plain asinine. I think anybody who is able to consent is capable of clicking a check box.

It's the old opt-in vs. opt-out thing, I don't like it myself, but it's frequently done.

Here, I'll translate it for you: "Dude, it sucks, but shysters have been doing this for over a decade now, this ship has sailed."
