Yeah I did, although not all of it. Was pretty funny :) Some of the things he says I agree with and some I don't. Eg, trade federation blocking trade with Naboo isn't nonsensical. There could be any of a number of reasons they did that, and not to mention they were being influenced/deceived by the Sith. On the other hand I totally get the criticism towards queen Amidala and Jar Jar especially the latter's senseless and completely unnecessary sequence on the battlefield.
I try not to fixate on that though because I want to enjoy the film, which I can enjoy because to me the + outweigh the -.
Its like when I'm watching the original trilogy : I try not to fixate on the corny outfits and ridiculous aim of the storm troopers, who in all honesty look like skinny bank clerks that assimilated with fax machines. Also, what on earth were those things the rebels wore on their heads in the opening scene of the first movie? I want to enjoy the films as much as I can though when I watch them, so I kind of look over those things :P

I guess I could say, (to me) episode 1 is a very good film : excellent in some respects and down-right mediocre in others. It is what it is though so I'll always watch with a mindset most tolerant of the films shortcomings. The very serious problem is though : I honestly don't know whether I'll be able to do that with the new film :P If the film rubs me the wrong way, being the massive star wars fan that I am, I might end up feeling the same way as the dude in the review :( I'll have to take some precautions : sneak vodka into the theater and watch it semi wasted for the first time :D
