Seems the game is expected to be DRM free, no word on GOG release though

I'm not sure if we really needed a _third_ thread about that, but I guess the project deserves to be more visible (and better supported) than it currently is ...

Seeing as it'll mostly be an on-line game, with the Squadron 42 single-player portion largely left for stretch goals from what I gather, there's little point in DRM on the product itself. Unless they set new funding records to make a kickass single-player campaign, you'll probably have quite little to poke around in offline before being checked when you connect.
