Yeah I am playing in english and I can already see that when I will replay it a year from now, I will apply czech translation : ). The english is hardcore and there is so much.It is very mentally demanding !

Unless you're using a mod that screws with the anomalies' positions, it just takes patience. There's always a safe path.
The first is when you escort the scientist to take measurements. It knocks you out, you have a flashback and wake up in a bus.
The second is right at the end. You have to make it inside the NPP before it hits, so you should never really see that one.

I think you must mean sawn-off shotguns, not hunting shotguns...
Yeh, they're rare, and I'm pretty sure not in vanilla. They're prevalent in Clear Sky.
That's fair. I'm a bit too impatient, so I never went out of my way. Artifacts are powerful, but you don't need to hunt them down. They eventually come to you via quests etc.

Ah, I see. I wasn't aware that's what occurred when you're with the scientist. I thought it was something to do with the nearby facility. As for the second one, I was well within the facility when it hit.

Why would I want to buy it again? Junk doesn't improve with age.
All shooters consist of going from point A to point B to kill something(s) or kill something(s) to get something or give something to get something. Occasionally they throw some twist in there to make it seem more impressive but generally it's the same.
This was accomplished much easier and faster with keycards. Those were the old days. Now you have to talk to some guy, kill something(s), get something, return it to the guy or use it open something to kill more something(s). Overly drawn out and complicated to make it seem that you got more bang for your buck.
You want to play a good game? Go buy Devastation or Plants vs Zombies.

Game was great and has nearly the best atmosphere I have ever seen in an FPS but the lack of anything to do aside from a few sidequests that repeat themselves and explore sort of killed it for me.

I used to own it, and I have clear sky. I think the d2d sale is still going, all this talk about it makes me want to play again.

Well i've payed too much for this game, because i realized to late that boxed version in my country was cheaper than steam one. And had incredible localization (like movies in Polish TV original voice owers with lector). The game was killing my old PC while graphics wasn't something spectacular, but i really liked them. Finishing this game was real pain in the arse, but i did it after about starting it over about dozen times. And boy it made me mad

Stealing prices at merchants, timed missions - u even have to hurry up to get revard or u get mission failed, and going from one part of map to other with this stamina thing just to complete mission was annoing, And weight cap that made u to have at the end armor, one gun with limited ammo just to take some meds with u.
But i never uninstalled the game, just to get back to it once for a while.
Recently i installed Oblivion Lost mod and while plaing on "hell" is hell it's much more fun than original. I even dont go with main qest just wondering around.
When i finally finish this one im going for Final Mod.
This game can be real pain, but the fealing it gives u can be rewarding.
