Ever wondered what it would be like to play a pre-release build of a game? Try this.
Torrent link is around 6 pages in, but you can Google "STALKER Build 1935 torrent" for many torrents for this game.
You might want to be careful posting links like that. Never know if they fall under piracy.

GSC released the code.

You would have known if you clicked on the link... that's the GSC Gameworld's official forums.

Torrents aren't ALWAYS bad... but 99% of them are.

I'd like to see your facts on that.
Anyone tried this yet? I want to download and look.
This looks awesome, thanks for posting.
I really like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. SOC. First I downloaded it actually, but after playing it for a while, I went out and bought the Collector's Edition. Still in the process of downloading the thing though, I'm using the FTP download, and it takes ages, but since I'm at work, and don't have anything special to do right now, I suppose it doesn't really matter.
Oh, and if anyone here has Shadows of Chernobyl, you should try a mod called Oblivion Lost. It's a mod that attempts to recreate the game in the form it was originally intended to be. Doesn't change any of the story, though it adds things here and there, but it's largely a gameplay and environment overhaul. Really breathes new life into the game, and makes great improvements to it's atmosphere.
EDIT:
Oh, and if you're getting that mod, use version 2.1.1. Anything after adds so many blowouts per day, that you'll continuously be running for places to cover...

Well everyone knows for a fact that 70 to 80 percent of torrents are legal
proof
Ahah yeah, I'm dying to test this :D
Hope the features will be implemented in the next Oblivion Lost mod.

Call me a cynic if you like but I have a feeling that random sampling was a little less random than advertised. I use TPB a bit and have only seen big patches, mods & linux distros as seemingly legal content.

CYNIC!
there happy now.
I know they are biased. I did find it an interesting read though. Also if the "random" sampling fails in court then this works both ways for the prosecutor and for the defendant.
It's basically how all statistics work, especially the ones in commercials. You test a product on 3000 people, then pick the 1000 that are most favourable to your product and you post 98 percent out of a thousand prefer this shit over the other shit.
The mod looks insanely cool: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6B5_tOnZVw
PS: I guess there will be some more enemies in the final version...
