It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Hello folks,

I've encountered a problem with the https version of the main page (secure.gog.com), as well as with the purchase page.

Firefox (v16, running in Ubuntu), reports that the site is not supplying identity information, and that the connection is only partially encripted; something that has not ever happened before as long as I've been using and buying from GOG.

All other secure sites I use are working as usual. Does anyone else have problems? or anyone knows what is going on?

Moderators: If you consider that the issue should be directly sent to the site's support team, please feel free to remove this thread. I wanted some community feedback before bothering anyone, plus if it actually is a problem, it'd be nice for everyone to know.

Interesting. I also use Firefox on Ubuntu to browse GOG and I haven't had any such warning.

Did this happen only once or does it happen every time you try to connect with https?
Sorry for the intermission, was occupied otherwise.

It happens every time. Cleared everything and tried again at the moment, and now again; keeps happening.

At first, the lock besides the address bar appears as a correct SSL connection is going on, and then changes to the normal http icon (and clicking on it shows "This website does not supply identity information [...]".

This change of icons only appears to be a FF glitch, since clicking on the lock icon before it switches out, shows the information for the certificate (verified by DigiCert, etc.) but says the site is run by "unknown", explaining the no identity info part.
Actually, I just tried this on Windows, also with Firefox, and I do get the issue.
Well, just tried with the stock browser of my SGS2. It is actually an issue.

Any official word please?

--- EDIT ---

14 hours later... disappointed. :-/

I will check from another connection+machine+OS+browser, and if the problem still exists will contact site support.

--- 2nd EDIT ---

IE on WinXP, on another PC, over a completely different connection gave a similar warning. I find it odd no one else (except robotgoblin, which realized after I mentioned it) has found out this is going on.

I've been answered that there were changes in the network infrastructure of the site. I was advised to use https//secure.gog.com instead of any other https//[*].gog.com. I had already explained clearly that I was already using secure.gog.com, here and in the help request... but whatever.

The purchase page does not appear to have any problems anymore, that's important.

The secure login page, does still have the same issue. But I will let it be as it is: I assume the non-encrypted part of the home page is not the actual login, but all the rest of the content which is common to the non-encrypted version at www.gog.com (let's hope).

--- EDIT ---

Note to the moderators: auto url tagging... BAD idea.
