Mentalepsy: I guess we can expect games like Legacy of Kain, Thief, and Deus Ex to have an even more difficult time making it to GOG, now?

Gexecuter: Oh damn you are right :(
I doubt it. SE likes Digital Distribution.

I wanna see some jrpgs on PC. I loathe FF7 but i did enjoy grandia II. I wouldn't mind playing kingdom of hearts.

Last Remnant (their last JRPG on Xbox 360) was released on Steam recently.

Or easier. Presumably gog would have chatted to eidos in the past & we've not got them yet, maybe a new owner would be more likely to see sense in wringing a bit more money out of old franchises at low risk

Well, it just adds another layer of ownership that needs to be macheted through in order to bring these games to GOG.

No, like I said before, Square Enix is really cool about DD.

Knowing the way things usually go, they'll probably want to make their own service

They actually already do have their own, but it wasn't well received "PlayOnline" it's used in junction with their FF8 online card game and FFXI.

Square Enix will be releasing The Last Remnant on Steam in April, and with various Eidos titles already on there it's very likely that future Eidos releases will also be available on Steam.
