So it's not really spring yet—at least, not here in Poland where the snow's piled as high as a polar bear's eye—but Punxsutawney Phil has predicted that winter's nearly over in the US, so we're feeling a bit of spring fever here. As a result, we've had an idea. A crazy idea.

Since a lot of you seemed to like the sale price for the promotion that we've just ended, we thought we make that sale price permanent. That's right, from now on Jagged Alliance, Jagged Alliance: Deadly Games, Disciples: Sacred Lands Gold and Port Royale 2 are all now permanently $5.99!

Madness, you say?

"Purple gopher dishwasher unicorn allegiance!" we say. And you can't argue with that.

Scribe81: Have to say I agree. I wanted to buy HOMM 3 off GOG but didn't like the ten dollar price point. So I had to go the physical media route and wound up picking up HOMM 3 and 4 for ten bucks which was worth it to me. I hate having to have the disc in the drive, but the games just weren't worth it to me for $10.

Curunauth: I have to agree that while the pricing on many games is good, some of the $10 titles are just overpriced. I suspect that GOG has limited control there - it's probably mostly up to the publishers licensing the games, but when you have games here that are more expensive than buying them in physical form years ago, it's a bit off-putting.

Nevertheless, the DRM-free concept and the nice packaging makes me prefer titles here, so when I see a bad deal, I just wait for a reduction and/or sale - the silly pricing doesn't drive me elsewhere, it just puts off the sale. What can I say, I'm a GOG addict! >.<
What happened to me was I missed the HOMM deal. I was just getting into the turn-based pc strategy genre, so this game was fairly unknown me. Once I saw what it was and played a demo of it, I had to have it. So it was more my issue than GOG's, since a few months later in the Christmas deal, everything was half off.
