Is any DD service selling the game drm-free? The retail release had StarForce, I don't want that crap on my PC.

I'm after the Gold edition which includes the expansion.
I think on Steam it has no other DRM than Steam so it depends whether you see Steam as DRM.

Also I checked GG and SpellForce 2 - Shadow Wars is listed as "DRM free" but Gold mentions nothing. It could be DRM free then but it's not granted.

Will ask GG about it, thanks.

By the way, do you guys also recommend the first one available here, or should I skip it?

I loved it. If you like a little RPG mixed into your RTS then it's definitely worth the GOG price.
Thanks for the reply, most likely will get both after I finish The Witcher.

Also, LOL at GG's pricing. The Universe edition (which has all Spellforce games) is cheaper than SF2 Gold edition. :)

By the way if you chance upon a cheap copy of the retail version of Spellforce Universe, it's worth picking up as I *think* that version doesn't come with DRM at all.

GG "DRM free" means just that. Back up the install file when GG launches it and you have a permanent DRM free game.

Even better, use Advanced Installer to make your own installer. Hah. :p

Anyway, will get the package from GG. 15 pounds / 20 euro isn't bad for such a package. :D

Thanks for all the replies. :)
