15,504 ways to play!

Decisions, decisions, decisions. Once the holiday season gets closer, you have to decide what gifts to buy, what wrapping to use, which phone numbers to accidentally delete. There are many decisions to make as you get ready for the holidays, but one decision that we’re making easy for you is, “Should I buy anything from GOG.com’s Black Friday sale?” (The answer is “yes”, by the way. ;) Not only are we launching the sale early--in case you spend Friday in a turkey-induced coma--but we’re also giving you the power to pick your own promo!

In our Pick 5 & Pay $10 sale you pick 5 out of twenty fantastic indie games and pay $10 for them regardless of the game’s regular full price. That's $2 per game, for such titles like Torchlight, Resonance, Alan Wake's American Nightmare, Botanicula, Geneforge 1-5, Uplink, To the Moon, and many others. Seven of these games are both PC and Mac compatible, so everyone can enjoy!

The games are fantastic--and there are so many of them! That's why we started this sale early: to give you time to pick your dream-set of 5 games out of 15,504 possible combinations. You could look at this as another decision you have to make this year, but unlike trying to figure out who you should sit next to your slightly crazy uncle at Thanksgiving dinner, this one’s fun!

Black Friday marks the start of the “shopping season” for the holidays, so don’t forget to buy the gift of GOG for a gamer you love--or even just kind of like. You can’t spread much more holiday joy than this for just $10.
OK. Gog has lost their collective mind ;-) and my wishlist is three entries shorter. Well done Gog! :-)

jefequeso: I got To the Moon, Unmechanical, and the Blackwell bundle as well. Also, Machinarium (I already own it, but I want a GOG copy and the extra artwork) and Resonance. I considered Symphony, but I'm a classical/art music person, and I suspect the game isn't really designed to work with that (despite its name). I have a hard time seeing how Copland's Symphony No 3 (which is over an hour long) would translate into a fluid gaming experience. Regardless, I'm not sure how interested I am in it anyway. I'm a musician, so if I want to "play" my music, I'll get out my violin :3.

I considered Alan Wake: American Nightmare and The Ball as well. Is American Nightmare a stand alone game? If so, are you expected to have played the first one?
I got Machinarium twice already with the humblebundle as well as for my android device .. I think 3 copies of that game is enough no ? :)
Is the extra artwork really worth it ?

I love adventure games so I think the first 3 I picked are good choices.

Not sure either about Alan wake .. I think it's a series so yeah some knowledge of part 1 should be expected.

Too bad there aren't more games in this promo.

I would have loved to make a selection of another 5 games.

Haven't even looked at the art work yet, honestly.

It would have been really awesome if there were more games to choose from, but oh well. Still a fantastic deal.
Now this is the kind of promo that I can really get into. Well played GOG.
This deal would be amazing if only it had more games to choose from. Like the original Alan Wake or some classical games from the Interplay catalogue. But it's still pretty interesting, and I'll probably get it.

By the way - which games would you recommend for me?

I want to buy Alan Wake's American Nightmare and Trine (loved its sequel).

I already own Botanicula, Torchlight, Uplink, Machinarium, Spacechem, Defcon, Darwinia, Anomaly Warzone Earth, Multiwinia and The Ball.

That means I have to choose three games out of eight (Resonance, To The Moon, Gemini Rue, Blackwell Bundle, Geneforge, Symphony, Mutant Mudds and Unmechanical). Any ideas which games I should pick?
Holy carp awesome promo idea!

Not sure if I can find 5 games. Hmm...
Picked my 5, thanks GOG.

Interplay had two promos very recently.

Yeah, I know. But I missed the large one (with all their games) so I would love for GOG.com to add at least a couple of Interplay titles to this bundle.

LOL why do people get so angry when GOG has a great sale like this?

They ask for these kinds of sales, and when they happen people want to call out GOG for having a sale they earlier suggested they might not have been interested in?

I don't get the motivation, other than a strangely compulsive need to complain about something.

In Star Wars, when Han came back and helped Luke destroy the Death Star, did Luke and Leia get angry with him and say, "BUT YOU SAID YOU WERE LEAVING!!!!" No. They were happy that he came back. That was all that mattered.
If only I didn't already have Resonance, Blackwell Bundle, Gemini Rue and Geneforge already. I would have been over the moon. :(

As it stands I'm somewhat interested in Botanicula, To The Moon and Trine. Then it's a total toss up between the others for the last two slots. :S

(I have Torchlight 2 but I get the feeling the original won't offer anything Torchlight 2 didn't)

edit: Could you gift one of the games if you didn't want it?

Great sale GOG! Alas, the only one on my wishlist is Geneforge. Torchlight is a maybe, but the others are not my cup of tea. Keep up the sales!
Tiny and Big isn't on there? Surprised, they were in Gamersgate's IndieFort and that was 3 games for $4.

No, if you choose to get the purchase as a giftcode, you get one code that's valid for all the games in that purchase. However, if you pick one or more games that you already have, you can redeem the code yourself and the code will still be valid for the games you already had, then someone else can redeem those.

I can't speak for the rest but I just bought Synphony and tried it out. It is beautiful! If you think you can figure out how to load you own music onto the game (it has it's own soundtrack as well) or have any lovr for 2-d shooters I'd recomend you go with that.
I'm going on record to say THIS IS AWSOME! I now have five new games that look amazing!

So how does Resonance compare to Blackwell and Gemini? Cuz i really loved Gemini but absolutely hated the main character in Blackwell (played about 15 min, couldnt stand her)
