HypersomniacLive: Just a heads up.
If I read QC's post correctly, it seems that codes can be redeemed only once and can't be split between two people, no info on what happens to the games you already own and can't redeem (they get "lost"?).
avatar
IAmSinistar: Argh, I need this spelled out explicitly. Has anyone tried it yet? Namely bought five games, some of which they don't own and some of which they do? If so, can you download the ones you don't own AND gift the rest to one other person? Or is it all-or-none?

roelibex: For 5.00 i would definitely like to try out Omerta, it probably isnt as bad as it is made out to be. However im now looking to get 4 other games. The contenders are:
Walking Mars
Miasmata
The Cat Lady
Penumbra
Amnesia
Sword of the stars (have it already on steam though)

So which ones to drop?
avatar
IAmSinistar: Definitely recommend The Cat Lady, Penumbra and Amnesia. I've got Waking Mars but haven't played it yet. But obviously it appeals to me, so perhaps make that the other choice. Though before that one I'd recommend Driftmoon, Primordia, or the Blackwell Bundle if you don't have those.
So the cat lady IS any good?

JMich: Quick question, 16 digit code or 8 digit one?
16, regular code from a "gift" order.
I'm not going to freak out over $3 lost, what I will freak out over is not being able to give someone a game. I do hope it'll be straightened out.
I just want to buy Stacking, if someone can buy that for me at the discounted price, I'll pay you back via paypal or venmo.

Joeqbr: I'm curious about Zafehouse Diaries, Lucius, Slender: The Arrival, The Cat Lady and Signal Ops, how are they? Worth picking up?
avatar
Novotnus: Zafehouse Diaries - strategy, horror, zombies. Like those - pick the game.
Lucius - very disappointing; I hoped for something like 'Omen: the game'. I got 'Go and kill those people for no reason. And don't forget to brush your teeth!'.
Slender - get the freeware one, you won't miss much.
The Cat Lady - get it, play it, love it. This one is a must!
Thanks for your opinion (and everyone else who answered too, couldn't quote you for some reason). The Cat Lady seems like a lock, but I'll have to think about the rest. Maybe I'll save my money for the next promo and pick it up later, already bought six games today that I'll propably never have time to play anyway...

Amnesia & The Cat Lady should absolutely be in your collection.
Would any of you consider Miasmata being good enough to kick any of these games off my list?

Primordia
Evoland
The Cat Lady
Penumbra Collection
Dyad

Yes, if that style and genre of game appeal to you. They do to me.
Yup, it's definitely "one code, one redemption" despite claims otherwise when you're redeeming.

I was getting ready to post and ask if Miasmata is as awful as its best review indicates. It sounds very much like "good intention, terrible execution". If anyone can allay those concerns, I'd like to hear it.

As for your list, the only one on there that I wouldn't recommend is Dyad. Too workmanlike and predictable for something that is supposed to be the opposite.
AWWWWW YEAAAH, NOW WE'RE TALKING

YnK: I actually checked what happens if I redeem a code with a mix of owned/new games. On the games list sorted by purchase date, the new ones appeared at the top as they should... and the owned ones also got pushed to the top, even though their descriptions still show their original purchase dates. The code is marked as "redeemed", so yes, these get lost, apparently (haven't tried sending it to anyone, though).
Well that sucks :(
I'll probably pass on this week's deal - I already own most of the good stuff from here or have it on Steam.

System Shock 2 though...
Cross our fingers that some awesome releases are happening this week.
Hmmm I'm really not sure what to do here. On one hand this promo is too good to pass, on the other only three games that I don't already own interest me.

Just out of curiosity, does someone want just two of these: Alan Wake's A.N., Alan Wake, Blackwell Bundle, Primordia, Torchlight, Evoland, Driftmoon and Anodyne?

Alternatively, does anyone who wants any two games already own Stacking, SotS: the pit and Zafehouse Diaries?
