But the "overall story" wasn't big in the first place and it shares a striking similarity to the story of the first. It's more a MoO 1 to MoO 2 situation then eg. GTA III to GTA III VC.

What is the difference between SR 2 and SR 2 Reeboot ?

I was wondering that as well, so after doing more than an expected amount of digging, I found this:

Five new text quests.
27 new planetary battle maps.
10 new hyperspace battle maps.
More than 50 new governmental missions of different types to complete.
New unique equipment.
Two new game modes: text-quests and planetary battles.
Improved galaxy searching system.

This was for the upgrade version from the regular Space Rangers 2 to Reboot.

Ahh thanks for that info , I was asking because I noticed I had the standard version on GG, so will now get this version here on gog :-)
