brianhutchison: For me its all the old games I missed first time round and being introduced to he ones I hadn't even realised I had missed.

So far I have only bought 2 that I already owned:
- Total Annihilation - I never got around to getting the expansions so this was the easier route
- Syndicate - I had the Amiga version (still have an emulated Amiga tho' so its mostly laziness)

I think I had the free Lure of the Temptress on Amiga at one time too.
I second this. There were a lot of games that I, didn't have money for, couldn't run, or some other reason that made me miss the first go around. And you can't just walk into any store and find all these games...

You do have a point, but compared to the tweaking involved with a straight up CD install from 2001 it's comparably painless.
