Protoss: I do not think it is okay to have an exception for imported video games. If I import anything else from abroad, I expect it to work in the same way. Why not video games? Why do I have restrictions that are purely artificial and dictated by a company who gives an advantage to his own country on it? Even though it is the IDENTICAL product!
Imagine I would create a car that has a GPS to make sure it only works in Germany, and if you buy it abroad you must wait for four months until you can use it.
I imagine my company would be dead in less than a year!
It's not just videogames, it's even more obvious with DVDs and the like. But even movies for the big screen are not always availbale in all countries at the same time. Anyway, to be clear, I actually sympathize with your disappointment about these business decisions, just not with the way you expressed it.Imagine I would create a car that has a GPS to make sure it only works in Germany, and if you buy it abroad you must wait for four months until you can use it.
