somberfox: I thought SS2 has been at the top of the list pretty much since the site launched...
And now it's back again :D

Tyler62092: [Yeah I don't expect EA for a while at least. According to GOG it took them 2 years to negotiate bringing Baldur's Gate here.
That's just because the rights of who owns what was extremely complicated and they needed the go-ahead of more companies than usual to get it to work.

And that isn't the same case for EA and CnC?

Not really. The current lawsuit regarding the rights to Dungeons and Dragons is what was preventing BG and Planescape from coming here. The deal they worked out with Hasbro and the other rights holders is what took two years to accomplish. In the case of EA, its pretty much just a matter of getting EA to soften their stance on DRM.
They shouldn't remove Planescape Torment from the wanted list. They should cross it over with a thick black line, or with squiggles or X's on top and a big red "mission accomplished" check mark right next to it.

It's the "games people want on our service" list, not the "brag about the shiny new distribution deal we just got" list. They have the front page, news, and best sellers list to do that. Wishlist should be for things, well, not on Good Old Games already.
If EA has the slightest semblance of a brain they would take a good look at Torment. Gamers have been BEGGING for Torment, release it and they run to it in droves. They get money and we get the games they have been sitting on.

I put together this picture you got me thinking about.

mushy101: It's a matter of when, and not if. When EA decides it wants to make money off of the huge pile of classics it has, we'll get it. Let's hope we don't have grey beards by then. ;)
I already do. That means they need to get it soon. Real soon...

"They finally have all the old EA games on GOG!"

"...who?"
Grim Fandango would be nice to have. Must buy for me (if I don't get it free somehow) ^_^

It only makes sense now that it comes here, as other LucasArts adventures have become popular on digital download options.

*Decides to be a depressive downer*
You know, I reckon that if EA did decide to re-release their old games they will most likely do it via their own DD system (the EAstore). That way they would get all the profits for themselves and get to drm them all as much as they like.

:(

In that case, I'll just not buy it. Or I'll buy it on disc.
