All right then! My other choices are:

2nd: Wing Commander 1 + 2

3rd: Torchlight
The reasons for not wanting the other games are:

Realms of Arkania 1+2, Torchlight
I do not want to have to worry about getting a cold in the mountains if I forget a blanket. i have enough to worry about in real life :P For these games it looks like that I will need to invest a lot of time to enjoy them the way they were meant to be, something I do not want ot do. At the moment I have to finish some other games as well as doing other projects (not to talk about work...)

Dungeon Keeper Gold
I have it!

Wing Commander series
I wrote a few reasons why i did not want any of the wing commander games (the fact that I have downloaded and watched all the movies, the fact that I prefer freespace mods and graphics, the fact that if i win one of these I will surely go and buy the rest of the series since I like following the story) and I decided that I will put wing commander 1+2 as my 3rd choice, due to the novelty of having the first games of the series! I am watching a youtube video of someone who plays through it and he has increased my interest, search for lets play winbg commander by J2JonJeremy, its awesome.

So 3rd choice is Wing Commander 1+2
BUMPing
Not in (obviously), but thanks for your generosity, HypersomniacLive, K_1269 and the anonymous donor!

... and a little BUMP! ;)
Well, I'll try my luck with a last minute entry, since I still just about qualify as a newbie ;)

I actually joined GOG because of Gabriel Knight 3... I had already played the first two installments and was really curious about the third part (especially since it received kind of mixed reviews, just really wanted to make up my own mind). So I looked around a bit and stumbled upon the game here, and rather inexpensive, too. I hadn't bought a digital copy of a game before, and I tend to be careful with online purchases, but GOG seemed like a nice place, and being able to use a paysafecard really tipped the balance for me. Everything went smoothly, so since then I have bought a couple of games here (among others the Witcher - really great game in my opinion).

The game I am the most interested in would be Dracula...
I have been interested in this one for a while, since I like to play games with a kind of "darker theme" every now and then(oh, just now realised the parallel to GK3, that's kind of funny, I suppose). However, reviews have been somewhat mixed, so I've been on the fence about buying it... Then it just so happens that the game both gets an addition and goes on sale... and I am absolutely and utterly broke. So if out of the kindness of your heart you would gift me this game you would certainly make me very happy :)

Second and third choice for me would be "Torchlight" and "Realms of Arkania" (although the "hardcore" aspect intimidates me a little bit).

No matter how this turns out - I want to thank you for the giveaway and the warm welcome! (+1 from me too, of course).

Welcome WildHobgoblin!

Seeing how different all your choices are, I'd like to hear a little bit more about what made you pick the games you did for your 2nd and 3rd choice.
Due to some tech issues, WildHobgoblin was not able to post his reply to my question here, but did answer it via PM. For the sake of transparency and fairness, here's what they said:
Ha, it never occured to me that this might be considered an unusual choice, it may be that I am just a little strange.

Well, I generally tend towards playing rpg and adventure games, those seem to be where it's at for me.
I remember many years ago actually owning a copy of Realms of Arcania, my memory is of it actually being quite fun despite never working properly on our PC... so I thought it might be nice to give it another try, as mentioned before it's mostly the "hardcore"-aspect that worries me, might be that I've become too much of a sissy over the years.
Torchlight seemed like a safe choice, it looks like a thoroughly enjoyable game with nice visuals, since I've played (and enjoyed) the first two Diablo games I thought that if there's at least some resemblance it might be a good game for me.
Mhm, I hope that is a good enough explanation? Feel free to correct any misconceptions :)

Giveaway is now closed,

Thanks to all that participated and supported it. :-)

Due to our judge not being available at the moment, winners and prizes will be announced tomorrow (May 1, 2014), around or shortly after noon GMT.
OK then, normally this would be the “Declaration of Winners”, but since the number of games far exceeds that of entrants, we’re in for a “Declaration of Prices” instead. ;-P

First off, I’d like to once again welcome our newcomers and wish them a very pleasant and satisfying stay at GOG. I also hope to see them more around.

Moving on to announcing how the entrants and the prizes were paired, I have to say that our judge had quite a hard time fulfilling their role - all entrants expressed their interests convincingly, but some interesting overlapping of choices complicated things a bit.

So, with no further ado, here’s how our judge decided (arguments presented are also theirs):

Congratulations, Realms of Arkania 1+2 is yours; may strength and wisdom serve you to see through tricks and escape traps, and guide you to overcome superstition and restrain your temper, so that one day you’ll continue your adventures in Realms of Arkania III: Shadows over Riva. But if you ever feel you need some help, don’t forget to visit the Realms of Arkania series forum. :-)
As a tabletop gamer themselves, our judge could not overlook the fact that you seem to have a similar background. And being on GOG, your preference for this great classic is very much appreciated. Their last words to you - enjoy catching the flu! ;D

You are invited to experience the perilous adventures of Geralt of Rivia in his unforgettable quest to retrieve the secret recipe for the mutagen - The Witcher - Enhanced Edition: Director's Cut is yours, congrats!
If your travels and quests ever trouble you much, take a look through the The Witcher forum. :-)
Being a RPG lover and huge fan of The Witcher series, our judge hopes that you’ll continue your journey as Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition and the upcoming The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (will, of course, be released here on GOG).
Only death can finish the fight, everything else only interrupts the fighting.

A confrontation that will lead to a critical decision which will determine your own fate awaits at the end of your travels to Whitby, Budapest, Istanbul, New York and Chernobyl – congrats and welcome to Dracula 4+5!
Our judge feels that this two part adventure game will provide you with enough story and amount of playing-hours without ever overburdening you. In the doubtful case you’d need any assistance, check out the Dracula series forum. :-)
And if you’re looking for some deeper dark-themed experience you can find it right here on GOG - from Dracula Trilogy to Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers, Gabriel Knight 2: The Beast Within and Gabriel Knight 3: Blood of the Sacred, Blood of the Damned, just to name a few.

A hero sets out to explore dangerous dungeons, fight hoards of monsters, collect crazy amounts of loot and accumulate fame – that hero is you in Torchlight, congratulations!
If you enjoy good clean hack ‘n’ slash entertainment in the spirit of Fate and Diablo, with a focus on quick visceral action then you’ll feel right at home in the vibrant cartoonish environment of this game – or so does our judge think. And while you’ll be playing a single-player game, your pet companion will make sure that not only will you'll never be alone but it’ll support you in more than one ways! ;-)
But if that proves to not be enough, the Torchlight forum is a good source to start looking for what you need. :-)
And you could always continue your quests if & when Torchlight 2 finds its way to GOG.

The codes have been PMed to their respective new owners. Have fun everyone! ;-)

EDIT: typos, typos... typos everywhere ;-P

Very, very, very cool giveaway HypersomniacLive! +1 for you, and a big welcome to all the new GOGers, have fun with your new games!
Well, I just went online and saw that I am one of the lucky winners :)
Reading the "verdict" really got my quite exited, I really wish I could start playing now, but I'm afraid it will have to wait until next week (busy weekend far away from my trusty PC).
Again I really want to thank you for having such a nice giveaway and thinking of the newbies... Thanks also to the anonymous judge, really looks like you put some effort into making everybody happy :)
Wow, Thank you very very much! You are awesome for doing this giveaway and I am very greatful. To the judges:
I will! :D
Just to conclude this thread with my thanks as well, one day I will contribute to the community as well! I am making a movie from a game and maybe once I finish it I will give a copy of the game free. Especiallly since they have fixed the multiplayer !
