Or you want a spoiler?

Titanium: I know of the rouse. T'was a joke.
Ah. You never know so I thought better be safe by asking. :)
Skyrim is a game about potatos. They are everywhere.

That's absurd. How was that staple food not distilled into vodka yet?!

And brooms.

fortune_p_dawg: I have wasted soooo much time restarting because I didn't like the way my character looked. I just can't make a decent looking hero, or maybe the lighting is bad.

dammit!~
There is a console command that lets you "redo" the visuals of character creation. And the first DLC adds a Quest that can change your looks. So you don't have to restart ;-)

(Trust, I know that issue).
Once you take into account the amount of times your character gets hit in the face with various weapons and claws, they actually look surprisingly good.

Oh. Em. Gee. How could this happen. [runs off to create first mod: Craftable Potato Vodka]...

well i don't have Skyrim , because Bethesda is too lazy to put on DVD the DLC / extensions (which are huge) for the legendary box.

Atter saying that : when i saw some screenshots on Deviantart ,with mods , you have lots options to get better faces than the original ones, which were never great in whatever TES games...

Just make him look ugly or weird, it takes much less time and makes running around with the character much more interesting rather than having a simple, "cool" hero. :P
Just go with the presets and change the hair. You can never do well fucking around with the bars.

Coelocanth: Just play one of the lizard race (can't recall the name right now). They're ugly no matter what, so no worries. That's what I did.

This reminds me, I should really get back to the game, since I've bought the DLC for it but haven't gotten around to playing it...
Excuse me! My Argonian is the most beautiful creation in all of the Nine Divines' Tamriel! I find your post racist and offensive!!!

Say, does Skyrim still have that weird issue, like Oblivion did, that when you adjust the face colours of an Argonian all those "lips" and "blush" sliders create colour spots in the most unexpected places?
Well if you don't mind doing a fairly large amount of work, there are several mod sites with face mods. Skyrim nexus is a good place to start.
Bethesda games in general have pretty weird character creation systems. The best system I ever used was the one in Dragon's Dogma. Nothing like playing as a six-foot busty warrior Elf while your red-headed loli mage follows.
I had buttloads of mods installed for making characters look great, but the most important ones were the hair, eyes, skeleton, and skin mods. If you want the most natural looking characters, make sure you get a great skeleton and skin mod, which are complimented by a nice make up mod.

Like others have mentioned, you don't need to restart in order to re-do your main character- there is a console command, "show race menu", and you can change everything there- sex, race, body type, tattoos, facial measurements, hair etc.
