I'm recently made single as of 6 months ago because I couldn't deal with the stresses put on me by a relationship not only thrust unto me, but tied and handcuffed and chained.

Not in, +1 for the generosity. I concur and share tinyE sentiments exactly. Knowing my unfortunate luck ill probably have to work that day. On the flip side although, being single does have its extreme benefits, tons of freedom to do what you want and when you want. Zero responsibility which can be great although as some stated lonely too.

So to me valentines day or single awareness day means to me is just a commercial holiday where if your in a relationship you have to buy chocolates/whatnot or a nice dinner just to make them happy and not complain more than usual and also to get some too. As in any other day it most likely wouldn't cost that much >_>
