I never knew there was a 4, was it any good?
In its fifth Simon the Sorcerer Adventure TGC’s inhouse Development Studio Silver Style Entertainment, creators of the critically acclaimed predecessor provides its latest Simon Adventure with an innovative Cel-Shading technology, creating a unique, modern, comic-like look while providing gamers with a large diversity of ways to solve puzzles throughout the game. As the story unfolds, Simon is able to approach various situations on a nasty, brutal or even friendly way, which is then taken into a personality profile at the end of the game. In addition, multiple different ending sequences encourage the player to play through the game multiple times. Adventure-Beginners but also Adventure-Cracks will consider the integrated hint system helpful. By the click of a button, the game displays a list of Simon’s tasks, as well as their status and offers three levels of hints. All in all, the times in which you were desperately looking for the red fibre in the game, are now past thanks to „Simon the Sorcerer 5“

Yep, there was a Simon 4 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simon_the_Sorcerer_4:_Chaos_Happens)
It only came out in Europe, never in the US sadly. I guess it was better than Simon the Sorcerer 3D since it got better reception. The graphics ARE better (http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/simon-the-sorcerer-chaos-happens/screenshots)
Interesting that that Wiki page lists a North America release as "TBA 2008". Methinks someone needs to update the page a bit...
These guys ship to US :)

Simon the Sorcerer 4 is not as good as the two first games, but it's still a decent game which deserve to be played (I wouldn't pay more than 15€ for it though)
Well, I guess if people in US really want it, then they could try the TRADE forum on gameboomers.com :)
They do occasionally have it for cheap to sell too.

I agree, I found it enjoyable enough despite poor voice acting and translation. It's nothing special, but a pleasant little adventure, and I liked it enough to finish it.
It's available on the digital distribution portal GamersGate, though it may be a little expensive there.

If you think english voice acting is bad you should listen to the spanish one. But well... we are used to it.

Hence the reason to never have voice acting in adventure games. It would save time. money, and hard drive space.
Hey, I never knew there was a Simon 4 either, always thought the series were scrapped after the abysmal third installment.
Any chance of this one coming to GOG, or are there different publishing rights than the first three?

Yes, the english version was published by PlayLogic. And since it was released last year, I doubt it'll show up on GoG anytime soon.
