nijuu: Looks like PC only for once :).
EA was better than Activision at one point... then reverted again to bad old same EA
EA's PC only doesn't automatically mean good news,
C&C4 was PC only and it sucked terribly.
New article on Simcity 5 by PC Gamer:
http://www.pcgamer.com/2012/03/08/simcity-inside-the-glassbox-engine/
What we know about it so far:
* DRMed to hell.
* In fact, it's online, multiplayer only (may be one player, but still online only).
* Even though it's only ~30% complete, it already has day-one DLC and various release exclusives. I'm pretty sure they'll continue that with microtransactional hell.
* It uses "ploppable" buildings like the much maligned SimCity Societies, rather than zoning and nurturing.
* It's already priced outrageously high (see a link higher in the thread).
* (While this one doesn't bother me) Many people are concerned about unrealistic graphics after seeing the artstock released so far.

These are the 2 main factors on whether I'll be getting the game. I like growing my city not plop every building around, it doesn't feel like the same.

*Sigh* "The game is highly linked online but is playable offline don't worry"
Simcity 5: “We built this from the ground up to be a multiplayer game”

Think I just lost most of my interest.

.....I never played a sims game at all.......and the reason why i think the franchise is so popular is because of the sex mods, but that just stupid so what is the appeal of the franchise?

Suggest you at least watch the trailer and see why your post makes no sense whatsoever.

Ok my stupidity has been lifted, its a life simulation game where you go to make family and maintain a job, while sim city is a city governing simulation by keeping the city happy and up-and-running.

Which sounds kinda boring but thats the point of a simulation.

But this still just makes me a little mad, that this and Gran Turismo and sports games like MLB The Show gets away with realistic gameplay, but not Realistic tactical shooters like Arma and certain games like Far Cry 2 and GTA 4.

Looks great! Will have to see how the final version is before making a decision.

What are you talking about? A realistic city building sim also wouldn't sell, unless you think the gaming public would be thrilled about getting building permits and dealing with community leagues and petitioning government to allow a highway to be built.

And seriously, can you try to keep your constant complaints about a lack of tactical shooters to threads that are...I dunno...actually ABOUT tactical shooters?

Anyway, I like what I see so far of this game.
