I'm sure some of you know already, but Activision's merger has made Sierra a useless IP apparently. They are selling off their studios and IPs. To get an idea of how willing they are to sell, the FEAR name was recently sold to Warner to allow Project Origin to be called FEAR 2 finally.
Of course MY eye is on Sierra's adventure catalogue. I want to know who is going to buy the old classic IPs. In a perfect world someone would purchase them all and allow GOG to release them back into the gamer's hands. I would definitely buy a few (dozen) titles.
Agreed :) I miss the age verigication on Larry 3 lol, some of those questions were superb. Sierra has got some sweet games in the back cat and I would aslo definately buy quite a few of them. The potential for GOG is mind blowing.
who made the new crappy larry games? maybe they are taking them
Oh yes - definitely would pay $6 for some of the old Lode Runner titles :D
Oh jeeze!!! I had forgotten about lode runner!!!!!

Now yer talking. Leisure Suit Larry, Kings Quest, Police Quest, Space Quest, Gabriel Knight, Willy Beamish.. If GoG managed to get a hold of those, I'd be buying them without a second thought. I played them all first time around, but have lost them one way or another over the years. Great games.
Yeah, I have the Space Quest Collection CD, but I certainly wouldn't say no to the other "Quest" games. Maybe I'd even repurchase the Space Quests, since the quality of the Collection CD is somewhat spotty. Depends though.
Also: Maybe FreeSCI (The Sierra Online SCUMMVM equivalent) has been updated&-graded to run them well enough by now... which would be awesome. Anyone know?
Well dosbox runs every sierra game perfectly, with minimal effort. I am currently playing Quest for Glory 4 - a game infamous for it's bugs. Yet I've encountered NO problems. All I did was lower the cycles. I don't even use the timer fixes.
The problem of course is Activision/VUgames. I have no idea who will buy the old IPs. Activision wants them sold. Which can be both good and bad, depending on who gets what.
