Well "discovery" is about as broad a theme as "Stuff" really. Truth be told I was planning to use the story I did anyway and just try to justify it with some quick bullshit.

My vote goes to Tick Tock - However they were all good and I really enjoyed reading them.

Fenixp: Heh, yeah, I kinda forgot about the whole theme thing while reading those, it was stretched to the broadest meaning possible :D

Sort of the point. I would have liked more entries but meh three is a good start. Three solidly enjoyable stories too.
And yes just to clarify unless you explicitly state your vote for a story your post will be ignored as far as votes go.
I really hope someone else picks this up and keeps it going.

RSHabroptilus: I'll just agree with the general consensus on "Echidna Empire," but truthfully, I couldn't finish any of these stories. They make Stephenie Meyer look like Thomas Pynchon. Especially the first one.

I'm so sad that more people knew who Meyer was than Pynchon.
Pynchon, by the way, has won the National Book Award and is one of the most respected American writers of the last 40 years. He's been on the short list a couple of times for the Nobel Prize in literature and rest assured if you think Meyer is good at what she does then you're probably not ready for Pynchon.
Even I wasn't ready for him until my early 20s.

Well I'm not in charge of the contest so its not really up to me. Suppose all 3 authors could bribe their friends to make a new gog account and try and have a voting war. Then again since I really don't have many friends, its unlikely I'd win
