I basically used the gog.com community group on steam as the clan of my choice in Shogun 2. HuH Duke Nico is our clan leader, but I am apparently the only member. Not sure if the no. of members represents those online or in total, probably is just the no. online.. If you guys would like to join up, our clan specialisation is sword infantry, which I chose, for some reason. Hope you don't mind!

GoG's premisse is DRM free so there should never be a DRM clan. And if you fight for GoG then don't play shogun 2 because it's DRM. Fight for the freedom of the pc gamers and the future.

That's weird, I started a clan using that community yesterday... Oh well. I'd join but sword infantry is a poor choice of speciality :/

Ouch, harsh crowd. I'm a moderate when it comes to DRM. Steam is ok i guess, anything more i won't buy add me on steam: prakaa. We could maybe make another GOG Shogun 2 Clan, so we can choose another speciality

I will do soon :) just run myself a bath so I'm gonna go have a read in there for a bit.

I think the best ones to go for are either the Spearmen or Archers. Spearmen because I'm thinking in multiplayer the biggest unit threat would be cavalry as they can move and manouver faster, turning the tide of battle. Archers because the increased range etc can make all the difference when the enemy also has a lot of archers. I've not played Total War online since the original Shogun though ^_^'. I tried the Shimazu but the katana wielders whilst having a high attack, tend to die far to quickly to really benefit.

Hmm ok, I see what you mean, esp. after unit movement speeds have been improved
