There are two versions of Shadow warrior on steam. one of them is free i think?

If i already have the GOG version, then do i really benefit anything by buying the Steam version?

This has updated graphics and steam achievements, it's not just another re-release of the original. Game-play wise, I'm guessing they're the same.

It's stupid that this game doesn't offer an upgrade option for those who bought the original release on Steam before it went free.

I don't believe it was ever sold on Steam, it was released free.

This is great since as far as I know the game never got a source port. I'll be buying this ASAP but I'll wait the week out to see if GOG releases it.

It received atleast two source ports neither of which received even remotely the kind of work that EDuke32 and I believe they are both buggy/incomplete. However they were both the basis of Classic Redux.

Shame that the reboot is going to be a sterile politically correct version with no asian stereotypes or bad humor

A GOG user fixed a game breaking issue (on the first two difficulty settings) on Wanton Destruction where the bosses don't spawn so the level in question cannot be completed, along with a secret that couldn't be accessed due to the area being too narrow to access. The same user also fixed a secret in Twin Dragon that could not be accessed on the first two difficulty settings). Full details at the link:

Nope, it was sold, after a few days they released it for free :)

it wasn't sold , They first wanted to offer some keys via a key gen on facebook which got hacked after a while so they made the game f2p , the steam page was up but it went f2p before sale
