That's what you should need to get things set up for your PC. Once that's working correctly, just configure your wireless and any wireless devices accessing it should work fine.

OK, I assume you're able to access your wireless router from your PC to configure it. If so, have you disabled bridge mode? Is the WAN port set to DHCP? Have you tried restarting both devices once it's set up?
Forums are indeed quite tricky to do tech support over, if I was sitting right there I'm sure I could get it up and running pretty quickly but New Zealand is a bit more than a bus drive away :).
