which is obvious and expected when the games in question are SteamWorks titles...

Less obvious or expected for these games considering they came out before Steam really existed.

I have the SS first encounter and second encounter from here at GOG. I looked at the info for the other SS games in the bundle. they do not look anything like SS TFE and TSE. They look more like late eighties/early nineties scrollers - like Duke Nukem or Duke Nukem 2. Is that really what they are like?
